Be true to yourself.
There’s a few good reasons for this old, true advice.
First, it’s your only option. You can’t be anyone else for any length of time. Sure, for a little while you can put up with things that you don’t believe in. But you won’t have the energy, the focus, or the effectiveness you would in pursuing a path that resonates with who you are.
More importantly, it’s enough. You have your own tools, advantages, energy and joy from the things that you are best able to contribute to the world. It’s easy to forget along the way, especially when you’re trying to find your groove, working to discover the place where your actions are most valued.
So stay encouraged, and keep work to be the best version of your authentic self.
